ISC full form : Indian School Certificate
The ISC also know as The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is a secretly held national-level leading group of school instruction in India that directs the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education and the Indian School Certificate Examination for Class X and Class XII separately. It was built up in 1958. More than 2,100 schools in India and abroad are associated to the CISCE. It is likewise perceived as a ‘Non-Governmental Board of School Education’ by the Constitution of India.
This Indian Council was set up in light of the fact that a board was required to regulate the assessments being led in India by the University of Cambridge and to ideally tailor them as indicated by the country’s need. The future instruction arrangements were set up under the aegis of the Cambridge University.
Derozio Award is a yearly prize granted to the top Indian educationists by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations. It was founded in 1999 in memory of Henry Louis Vivian Derozio, a writer and instructor from West Bengal. It is the most noteworthy honor presented by the Council for commitments in the field of training.
